The church in the New Testament was organized under an eldership, with deacons serving at the elders’ (also known as bishops) discretion (Philippians 1:1). The church at Fry Road has four elders, all of whom work tirelessly to shepherd the flock of God; and thirteen deacons dedicated to doing their tasks that the work might run smoothly. We also have a full time evangelist committed to bringing timely lessons during service times, and private studies to those needing more personal attention.
It is a joy to have shepherds (Acts 20:28) who care about the souls entrusted to their charge. If you are looking for a scripturally organized church to settle into and grow, you’ll find what you’re looking for here. The elders and saints here are dedicated to serving the Lord as He commanded. Many innovations have arisen through the years, challenging Christians to choose between the truth or their personal desires. We do not resist the changes in religion around us because we have an aversion to change. We resist these changes because they go far beyond the authority presented in God’s word.
